Best bridge plug manufacturers in Asia
Published:
Bridge plug manufacturers in Asia that belong on a shortlist built from published facts come to thirteen: four in China, eight in India and one in the United Arab Emirates. Each names bridge plugs on its own site, says it makes them and lists an Asian address. Unranked and grouped by country, the list compares every maker on seven points.
If you are shortlisting the best bridge plug manufacturers in Asia, the removal criteria matter as much as the entry rules: a company comes off this list if its own website stops naming bridge plug products, describes it as a distributor or reseller, or drops its Asian address.
Maximus OIGA Private Limited publishes this guide and appears in it under the same rules as every other maker, judged on the same seven points.
Key takeaways
- Thirteen bridge plug manufacturers in Asia meet this guide's rules: four in China, eight in India and one in the United Arab Emirates.
- Ten of the thirteen name a retrievable bridge plug, four name a composite bridge plug or composite frac plug, and four name a dissolvable plug, all four of them in China.
- Spec data, as size tables on the page or in a downloadable catalogue, is published by ten of the thirteen; Maximus OIGA Private Limited is one of the three that do not publish it.
- Lead times are published by one maker on the list, Maximus OIGA Private Limited, the publisher of this guide, which states 1 to 4 weeks for standard bridge plug orders in its SpectraMax line.
- Field support for the bridge plug run is stated by three makers whose own engineers support running; four more offer setting tools or general on-site service.
- Certification and licence status is listed for no company, this guide's publisher included; the steps further down show how to check a licence claim on the public register and which documentation to ask for, so every entry is yours to verify.

How did a manufacturer qualify for this list, and what would remove it?
A bridge plug manufacturer qualified for this list only if its own website named bridge plug products on a product page or in a catalogue, said the company manufactures them, and published an address in Asia.
Each rule is read strictly. A name in a menu or a homepage list is not enough, and neither is a marketplace listing or a frac plug on its own. The site has to say the company makes the plugs itself, in its own facility or with its own machining, assembly and testing, rather than distributing, reselling or sourcing them through partners.
Every maker that passed was then compared on the same seven criteria:
- Bridge plug types named: a permanent or drillable bridge plug, a retrievable bridge plug, a composite plug or a dissolvable plug.
- Where the company says it builds.
- Spec data published, as size or spec tables on the page or in a downloadable catalogue.
- Lead times published.
- Build to order stated.
- Order documentation named, such as the material test report, inspection and test plan, heat traceability and test record.
- Field running support stated.
In the tables, "Not stated" means the company's own site does not say it on the pages read. It does not mean the company cannot do it.
"Partly" means a weaker statement than the point asks for: sizes or materials on request rather than building to a drawing, setting tools or field engineers for other products rather than field support for the bridge plug run, or inspection and traceability mentioned without the documents being named.
A maker comes off the list if its site stops naming bridge plug products, describes the company as a distributor, agent or reseller rather than a maker, or drops its Asian address.
This list does not score certification and licence status, registration details, founding dates, installation counts, customer names, prices, or pressure and temperature ratings, because none of them is published evenly enough to compare. The verification steps further down show how to check the ones your approval process needs, and the results on the seven points are in the two tables below.
How do the bridge plug manufacturers in Asia compare?
The thirteen bridge plug manufacturers in Asia on this list all name bridge plug products and an Asian address; ten publish spec data, three state field running support, and one publishes lead times.
Table A shows the bridge plug types each maker names and where it builds. Table B shows what each one publishes on the other five points. Rows run by country, China, India and the United Arab Emirates, and alphabetically within each country.

Published or Stated: the company's own website says it. Partly: a weaker statement, such as sizes on request, setting tools only, or inspection mentioned without naming the documents. Not stated: not found on its own website, which does not mean the company cannot do it; ask.
Every cell comes from the company's own website, read the same way for all thirteen. Spec data is published by Wingoil, Dongying Yuxin, Jiangsu KEFENG, Jingzhou Sunrise, Completion Oil Tools, Gradwell Oilfield, Oilmec Drilling Equipments, Parveen Industries, Wellcare Oil Tools and Aventus Oil Tools. Lead times are published by Maximus OIGA Private Limited alone. Field running support is stated by Gradwell Oilfield, Wellcare Oil Tools and Aventus Oil Tools.
Maximus OIGA Private Limited has two "Not stated" cells: its three bridge plug catalogue pages carry no size table or datasheet, and its published model is that the buyer's service company or the operator runs the tools. Its catalogue names five bridge plugs, three in the cast iron line and two retrievable, and no composite plug; its SpectraMax rows were read from that catalogue exactly as every other maker's rows were read from theirs. Each manufacturer in turn follows below.
What does each manufacturer publish about its bridge plugs?
Each manufacturer below is described from its own website, in the same four parts: where it builds, the bridge plugs it names, what it publishes, and what to ask it for.

It describes CNC machining bays and clean-room assembly. It publishes product datasheets with sizes, says it customises products to well conditions, and offers field running support, redressing and workshop training. Ask it for the documentation pack and a written lead time.
What do almost none of these manufacturers publish?
Lead times are published by only one of the thirteen makers on this list: twelve publish no lead time, and the one that does is Maximus OIGA Private Limited, the publisher of this guide.
Maximus OIGA Private Limited sets its lead times by product class in its SpectraMax line: 1 to 4 weeks for standard bridge plug orders, 4 to 12 weeks for configured builds and 8 to 16 or more weeks for fully engineered-to-order work. Several of the others say only "on-time delivery" or "timely supply" with no figure, and one says lead time is confirmed once the specification and quantity are fixed.
Order documentation is the second gap. Maximus OIGA Private Limited names a full order pack on its site: the test record and chart, the inspection and test plan, heat traceability and a certificate pack. Three others mention parts of one. Dongying Yuxin includes material documentation in its inspection planning, Jiangsu KEFENG describes ex-works inspection, and Wellcare Oil Tools supplies a specification sheet with each product and describes traceability. The other nine name none.
Spec data is the gap this guide's publisher does not fill. Three of the thirteen publish no bridge plug size table or spec table on their own sites, and Maximus OIGA Private Limited is one of the three.
Each gap costs a buyer time in a different place. With no lead time, the schedule waits for quotations. With no named documents, a missing material test report or heat traceability record surfaces at QA acceptance, late in the order. With no size table, you cannot screen a maker before an RFQ, so you cannot plan or approve a shortlist until the quotations arrive.
Building to a drawing is stated in plain terms by one maker: Dongying Yuxin says it reviews customer drawings and samples. Six others say they build to the customer's specification, application or well condition, and six offer options on request or a general customisation line. The question most of these sites leave open is who supports the plug once it ships.
Who supports the bridge plug run if your well is remote?
Field running support is stated by three makers on this list: Gradwell Oilfield Private Limited, Wellcare Oil Tools Private Ltd. and Aventus Oil Tools say their own engineers support running and redressing.
Gradwell Oilfield Private Limited names field support engineers for training, hook-up, running and redressing. Wellcare Oil Tools Private Ltd. names engineers for training, running and redressing. Aventus Oil Tools offers field running support, redressing and workshop training.
Four more offer something narrower. Completion Oil Tools Private Limited names field engineers for packers and liner hangers but not for bridge plugs, Jiangsu KEFENG and Jingzhou Sunrise offer setting tools, and Wingoil describes on-site technical services in general terms. The other six publish no field crew, so the plug is set by the buyer's service company or wireline contractor.
Maximus OIGA Private Limited works the second way. It supplies its SpectraMax plugs and their build records from the Vadodara plant, the buyer's service company or the operator runs them, and the plant's engineering team answers technical questions from those build records.
For a remote well, the maker's head-office country matters less than where spares, setting tools and adapter kits are stocked, who sets the plug, and how fast a replacement reaches the well if a plug presets or does not hold. A plug that fails in a remote well costs rig days while tools and people travel.
Ask any maker these questions before you order:
- Where are spare plugs and setting tools stocked, and how far is that from my well?
- Is the setting tool or wireline adapter kit supplied, rented or loaned with the order?
- Who sets the plug, and are they your engineers or a third party's, such as a wireline unit crew?
- What is the turnaround for a replacement plug?
- Who answers technical calls during the job?
Those answers, read with the two tables, are what match a maker to your own job.

How do you choose a bridge plug manufacturer from this list?
The right bridge plug manufacturer on this list depends on the job the plug must do and on your buying constraint rather than on a ranking, because the thirteen differ on plug types, published lead times, documentation, field support and spec data. No maker on this list is the best choice for every well.
By the job the plug must do
- If the plug must isolate a zone for good or support abandonment, start with the eleven makers that list a permanent bridge plug or drillable bridge plug set on wireline, mechanically or hydraulically, and ask for the setting record and the documentation pack with the plug.
- If the plug must come back out after testing or a workover, shortlist the ten that list a retrievable bridge plug: Jiangsu KEFENG, Jingzhou Sunrise, Completion Oil Tools, Gradwell Oilfield, Impero Petro Tools, Maximus OIGA Private Limited, Oilmec Drilling Equipments, Wellcare Oil Tools, Wellsecure Oil Tools and Aventus Oil Tools. Ask how each plug is equalised, released and retrieved, and which retrieving tool it needs.
- For stage isolation in a plug-and-perf job with a fast drill out, look at the four that list a composite plug or composite frac plug on a product page or in a catalogue: Dongying Yuxin, Jiangsu KEFENG, Gradwell Oilfield and Aventus Oil Tools.
- If nothing should be left to drill out, the four makers that list a dissolvable plug are all in China: Wingoil, Dongying Yuxin, Jiangsu KEFENG and Jingzhou Sunrise. Ask for dissolution test data at your well's temperature and fluid, because how fast a plug will dissolve depends on both.
By your buying constraint
- If you need a plant to build to your drawing at volume, shortlist the seven makers that state build-to-order work: Wingoil, Dongying Yuxin, Completion Oil Tools, Maximus OIGA Private Limited, Oilmec Drilling Equipments, Parveen Industries and Aventus Oil Tools. Send the drawing, the batch size and the repeat schedule with the RFQ, and ask how drawing revisions are controlled between batches.
- If you are working to a fixed spud date, Maximus OIGA Private Limited publishes the only lead-time bands on the list, with standard bridge plug orders in the 1 to 4 week band; from every other maker, ask for a written delivery date in the quotation.
- If your QA acceptance is strict, name the documents in the RFQ, such as the material test report, inspection and test plan, heat traceability and test record, and compare what comes back. One maker names a full order pack on its site and three mention parts of one.
- If the well is remote and you have no service partner there, shortlist the three makers that state field running support (Gradwell Oilfield, Wellcare Oil Tools and Aventus Oil Tools), or pair any maker with your own service company or wireline contractor.
- If you want to screen makers before sending an RFQ, start with the ten that publish spec data; for the other three, Impero Petro Tools, Maximus OIGA Private Limited and Wellsecure Oil Tools, the size data comes with the quotation.
The wrong choice shows up downhole, not in the purchase order. A plug that presets while running in, does not hold the differential it was chosen for, will not release when it should be retrieved, or drills out slowly can mean a fishing job, a remedial cement job or lost rig days, which is why the documents and the setting support matter as much as the catalogue. It also helps to know which makers this list leaves out, and why.
What does this list not cover?
This list leaves out the global service companies and other makers headquartered outside Asia, companies in Asia whose own sites do not meet the three rules, and any measure that is not published evenly enough to compare.
- Global service companies, such as Baker Hughes, SLB and Weatherford, sell bridge plugs into Asia but are headquartered outside it, and independent makers in North America are out of scope for the same reason.
- Searches for bridge plug makers in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Pakistan and Kazakhstan found no company whose own website met all three rules. They returned distributors, agents, service bases, rental firms and market reports.
- A service company or rental house is not listed, because it runs or rents plugs rather than building them. A company whose site names only a frac plug, or names an isolation tool under another category, is not listed either; makers on the list that also name frac plugs show them in Table A.
- This guide does not cover through-tubing bridge plugs. One maker names them in a list only, and none on the list has a product page for one.
- It also does not score certification and licence status, registration details, founding dates, installation counts, customers, prices, or pressure and temperature ratings. The next section shows how to check the ones you need.
How can you verify any entry yourself?
Any entry on this list can be verified the same way: open the maker's own bridge plug page, confirm where it builds and machines the plug, ask for a sample documentation pack, check any licence it claims on the API Composite List, and ask for the test basis behind any rating.
This guide prints no company's certification or licence status, its publisher's included, because the register is the source and the check takes a minute.
- Open the maker's bridge plug page and catalogue on its own website, and match the model names and size range to the ones in the quotation.
- Ask for the manufacturing address in writing, and for a plant visit or a live video walk-through of machining, assembly and the test bay. Several entries publish an address their site does not label as a plant, and one names its plant without a street address, which is when this step matters most.
- Ask who machines the plug. Product descriptions on different makers' websites can read almost word for word alike, so a description does not show who machined the plug. Ask where the mandrel, slips and body are machined, and where the plug is assembled and tested.
- Ask for a sample documentation pack from an earlier order with the customer's details removed: the material test report, the inspection and test plan, the heat traceability record and the test record with its chart.
- Check any licence claim on the register of the American Petroleum Institute (API). Search the maker's exact legal name and its name variants on the API Composite List at mycerts.api.org. A Monogram licence covers one specification at one named facility, the specification for packers and bridge plugs is API Specification 11D1, and a listing can read active, cancelled or withdrawn. Ask which facility a claimed licence covers and whether that facility builds your order.
- For any pressure or temperature rating, ask for the qualification test report for that size and material, the standard and its edition, the test sequence and acceptance criteria, and the serial or heat traceability linking the tested plug to the one you will receive.
Run the same six steps on Maximus OIGA Private Limited, this guide's publisher, as on every other maker.
The next section sets out how this list itself was checked.
How was this list researched, and how is an entry corrected?
This list was researched from each company's own website only, with marketplaces and directories used just to find the official site.
Forty-six bridge plug companies based in Asia were checked besides the publisher, and twelve met all three rules. The thirty-four left off fall into three groups. Fourteen name no bridge plug on a product page or in a catalogue of their own. Seventeen describe distribution, agency, rental, trading or sourcing through partners or a supply chain, or do not say they make bridge plugs themselves. Three had no official website that could be read.
For every company, the publisher included, the research deliberately did not collect certification or licence status, registration details, founding dates, installation counts, customer names or pressure and temperature ratings. No company supplied, paid for or approved its entry.
Any company named here, or one left off, can ask Maximus OIGA Private Limited for a correction, and the entry is checked against that company's own published material before it changes. Every entry is re-checked against the company's own site whenever the page is updated.

Frequently asked questions
What is a bridge plug?
A bridge plug is a downhole tool set at a chosen depth inside casing or tubing to seal the well below it, so the lower zone is isolated for testing, stimulation, work above it, or abandonment.
Permanent plugs stay in place or are drilled out, while retrievable plugs are released and pulled back to surface.
What is the main difference between a bridge plug and a FRAC plug?
A bridge plug seals the well in both directions, while a frac plug usually works as a one-way seal between fracturing stages, often with a ball on a seat, so the zone below can flow back afterwards.
Both come in drillable and dissolvable versions; four makers on this list name dissolvable plugs, and all four are in China.
What is the main difference between a bridge plug and a cement plug?
A bridge plug is a mechanical tool that seals as soon as it is set at an exact depth, while a cement plug is a column of cement placed in the well that must harden before it holds.
In abandonment work, cement is often placed on top of a set bridge plug.
What are the different sizes of cast iron bridge plugs available?
Cast iron bridge plugs are made to fit standard casing sizes and weight ranges, and each manufacturer publishes its own size range in a size table or catalogue.
Ten of the thirteen makers on this list publish one; for the other three, ask for the datasheet with the quotation.
Who makes bridge plugs in India?
Eight manufacturers on this list make bridge plugs in India: Completion Oil Tools Private Limited, Gradwell Oilfield Private Limited, Impero Petro Tools, Maximus OIGA Private Limited, Oilmec Drilling Equipments Pvt. Ltd., Parveen Industries Pvt. Ltd., Wellcare Oil Tools Private Ltd. and Wellsecure Oil Tools Private Limited.
Four are in Haryana, two in Rajasthan and one in Gujarat, and Parveen Industries names a plant at Igatpuri with offices in Delhi and Navi Mumbai.
Who makes bridge plugs in China?
Four manufacturers on this list make bridge plugs in China: Chongqing Weiyun Technology Development Co., Ltd. (Wingoil), Dongying Yuxin Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Jiangsu KEFENG Petrochemical Machinery Co., Ltd. and Jingzhou Sunrise Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
They are in Chongqing, Shandong, Jiangsu and Hubei, and all four name a dissolvable plug.
Which bridge plug manufacturers in Asia publish lead times?
One of the thirteen manufacturers on this list publishes lead times: Maximus OIGA Private Limited, at 1 to 4 weeks for standard bridge plug orders, 4 to 12 weeks for configured builds and 8 to 16 or more weeks for fully engineered-to-order work in its SpectraMax line.
The others quote delivery at enquiry, so ask for a written date in the quotation.
Who compiled this guide?
This guide was compiled by the completion-tools engineering team at Maximus OIGA Private Limited, a bridge plug manufacturer that appears in the list under the same rules as every other maker.
The method is the one set out above: each company's own website, read against three inclusion rules and seven comparison points. The guide exists to give a sourcing lead a shortlist of bridge plug makers in Asia that they can check for themselves, not to rank them.
Maximus OIGA Private Limited, which builds the SpectraMax completion-tool line, publishes the guide and is one of the thirteen; its own row was built from the same kind of source by the same rules. A correction from any company follows the route described above, and the next step below starts with the same check.
What should you do next?
Check any supplier on this list against the register yourself.
A quotation for a SpectraMax bridge plug from Maximus OIGA Private Limited needs your casing size and weight, whether the plug must be permanent or retrievable, the setting method (wireline, mechanical or tubing-set) and whether a setting tool should come with it, the setting depth, the differential pressure, temperature and fluids the plug must handle, and the documents your QA function requires.
The quotation names the lead-time band that applies, fixes the date for your order and comes with the SpectraMax document list.
